RESEARCH IN PAIRS
Intermediate Disorder and Weak Universality for KPZ Equation
Dates: 15-23 April 2017 at CIRM (Marseille Luminy, France)

DESCRIPTION
The weak universality of the KPZ equation was established by Martin Hairer and his collaborators. The related phenomenon of the intermediate disorder was studied by Alberts, Khanin, and Quastel for directed polymers with smale disorder. It was suggested recently that the notion of directed polymers can be extended to the disordered interface growth systems with non-quadratic Hamiltonians. The main aim of the research project is to extend the results on the existence and universality of the intermediate disorder to this class of generalized directed polymers.
