3-Manifolds and Geometric Group Theory (1905)

DESCRIPTION
The aim of this one-week school is to bring PhD students and recent post-docs up-to-date on current research happening in Geometric Group Theory and 3-manifolds. We will focus in particular on the interplay between the two topics, where the theory of hyperbolic 3-manifolds is an important influence in the modern theory of hyperbolic groups and their relatives.
