Université de Genève
Martin Gander worked in McGill University then joined the University of Geneva where he is Full professor. His research interests include, among many things, Domain Decomposition Methods, Absorbing Boundary Conditions, Quadrature, Dynamical Systems, Mathematical Biology, Parallel space time method, etc. He has also regularly cooperated with industry in various areas such as bacteria identification, image compression, weather forecasting, etc.

Florence Hubert is a member of the Institut de Mathématiques de Marseille, in charge of the Applied Analysis Team. Her skills and expertise are in the areas of Modelling in medical sciences (metastasis spreading, instability of microtubules, cell migration) and in the elaboration of new, efficient, numerical algorithms (DDFV methods, applications to medical imagery, etc.)

Martin Gander will give a compact post doctoral course on Domain Decomposition methods and will participate in the CEMRACS summer school on Models and Numerical Methods in Particle and Population Dynamics (July 2022). Other plans include lectures aimed at high school students in the newly created mathematical laboratory led by Florence Hubert.
